Charlotte + Neil wedding film Ashridge House

Charlotte + Neil wedding film Ashridge House

1st May 2016 Charlotte + Neil filmed at Ashridge House, Hertfordshire

“Thank you to Gary and Tracy, who brought Charlotte into this world, giving me the person I have been looking for all my life.”

Charlotte’s new husband became slightly choked up at these words, as he gazed into the eyes of his new bride. I was privileged to witness Charlotte and Neil’s spectacular wedding in the majestic setting of Ashridge House in Hertfordshire. This day was made all the more special by the fact that the couple are expecting a baby, which, in the groom’s words, would make this event “complete.” The sun shone on this magical day as Charlotte and Neil declared their love for each other, and promised (through both tears and giggles) to honor and cherish each other for the rest of their lives.

Charlotte, in her exquisite Jasmine Couture wedding dress, complete with a sweetheart neckline and studded with sparkles, was supported by her brigade of nine bridesmaids in gorgeous dusty pink, two angelic flower-girls, and two mischievous little page-boys. The color scheme was elegant and refined in rose-gold, and the bride’s spectacular, sparkling Jimmy Choo stilettos matched- although she did change into some more appropriate, comfy dancing shoes later in the day!

Bride and bridesmaids descended two sets of opposing staircases to the sweet and gentle sounds of Pachelbel’s Canon on the violin and keyboard. Neil’s nerves seemed to evaporate and a smile lit up his face when he looked up to see his glowing bride begin the descent on the arm of her emotional father, who confessed in a tearful voice during his speech later, that “if I’ve got to hand my daughter over to anybody, I couldn’t have a nicer chap than Neil.” The couple steadied each other with gentle squeezes throughout the ceremony as they quivered in awe of the special moment.

The reception was topped off with a sumptuous meal- the bride and groom presided over proceedings in golden thrones- and a regal pink and gold cake by Natalie Porter. The couple slow-danced to Ed Sheeran’s ‘We Found Love,’ performed by a live band, before they were joined on the dance floor by their party. I wish this wonderful couple and their new baby all the best for their future together!

Jennie & Edward Wedding Video Moor Park

Jennie & Edward Wedding Video Moor Park Mansion, 26th of July 2014

Jennie and Edward decided on the grand setting of Moor Park Mansion for their summer wedding celebration. With roots going back more than three hundred years, the mansion’s solid history was fitting for a couple who met when they were three years old, and a fantastic location to make a wedding video Hertfordshire.
Edward and Jennie tied the knot in a traditional ceremony at Holy Rood Catholic Church in Watford. Jennie channelled 1950s glamour in her choice of Sassi Holford “Paola” strapless gown, to which she added a stylish lace overlay for her ceremony and photos, while her bridesmaids were elegant in pink. All the women carried bouquets crammed full of summer peonies and roses accented with soft green eucalyptus leaves, which were hand crafted by Two Girls and Some Flowers. Jennie and her bridesmaids were well taken care of by hair stylist Julie Lilley and make-up artist Ana Ospina.
Following the ceremony the couple were showered with confetti before being driven by Pageant Chauffeur to Moor Park Mansion in a vintage Rolls Royce. Sticking with the vintage theme, they arranged for their guests to be conveyed to the reception venue in an old red London bus, which was dwarfed by the magnificent scale of the Georgian building. Photographer Fiona Kelly and I were spoiled for choice of backdrops.
The weather behaved itself and it was a happy, chatty group of guests who enjoyed canapés and cocktails on the front steps. Toastmaster Nick Grant kept things running smoothly and had everyone enthusiastically counting down to the cutting of the Queen of Herts wedding cake. The dancing was some of the most energetic I’ve ever seen, thanks in no small part to the band, Tommy T and the BellTones. When they weren’t getting down on the dance floor, guests made good use of the facilities provided by The Vintage Photobooth Company.
If Jennie and Edward’s life is even half as wonderful as their wedding day, I am sure they will be very happy. Congratulations!

Lucy & Karl Down Hall wedding video

Lucy & Karl Down Hall Wedding Video, 6th of April 2014

It’s hard to take a bad shot of Down Hall, making it ideal as a setting for the romantic occasion of Lucy and Karl’s wedding video. The historical and luxurious country house was full of laughter as this very groovy couple tied the knot and it was a pleasure to film their wedding video Hertfordshire.

Lucy chose the colour of her bridesmaid’s and flower girls’ dresses and flowers perfectly. The cream, mauve and soft pink coordinated with the elegant interior of Down Hall’s ceremony and reception rooms. There was just the right amount of glitter on her gown and accessories to catch the light from the chandeliers, but even that sparkle couldn’t rival Lucy’s radiance as she made her way down the grand staircase to the ceremony room. After a touching wedding, everyone spilled out into the garden to enjoy the beautiful gardens before making their way back into the beautiful dining room lit by towering silver candelabra on the tables.

A sense of love and family ties flowed through the occasion, both in the family photos placed around the room and in Karl’s touching acknowledgement of absent loved ones. Sentimental tears soon turned to laughter as he serenaded his surprised and delighted bride with a rendition of “I’m Amazed by You”. It was clear Lucy shared Karl’s love of the spotlight as the couple looked very comfortable performing their choreographed first dance to that Phil Collins classic “Groovy Kind of Love”. Lovelight Entertainment provided a fab mix of tunes that had virtually everyone shaking their funky stuff on the dance floor.

I get the feeling that, while Karl may be known as a bit of a joker to his friends, he’s a sentimental softy at heart. He said in his speech that he wasn’t marrying the woman he lived with, but the woman he didn’t want to live without and it was clear that Lucy felt the same way. Congratulations both, and thanks for letting me create your wedding video Down Hall.

Tim & Hannah Moor Park wedding venue film

Tim & Hannah a Moor Park wedding venue video

Moor Park wedding venue Mansion is a Grade I listed Palladian mansion set within over 300 hundred acres in Hertfordshire.

The name Moor Park originates from the old park of the Manor of More, which is where the mansion and golf courses now sit.

The original house was built in 1678 for James, Duke of Monmouth. In 1732, Benjamin Hoskins Styles, who had made a fortune in The South Sea Company, purchased it and the current appearance of the mansion, including the magnificent paintings within the Main Hall, Thornhill Room and Grand Staircase can be traced to his time at the mansion. The beauty of Moor Park extends to the outside too, with impressive gardens that make a picture-postcard backdrop for your wedding album and wedding video as well as the ideal place to serve the welcome drinks to your guests on a balmy summer’s day. Romantic candlelit receptions, drinks reception served amidst the Italian murals of the Main Hall, you are sure to feel like the Lord and Lady of the Manor just like Tim and Hannah did with this their wedding video.

David & Louise Ashridge house wedding video

David & Louise Ashridge house wedding video, 25th August 2012

A wet cloudy day filming David and Louise’s wedding video in August 2012, the weather may not have been great but the spirits were high. This Ashridge house wedding video set in 190 acres of gardens and parkland, Ashridge house is majestically nestled in surrounding National Trust woodland. This spectacular country house has a rich history spanning over 700 years. Once a monastery for Benedictine monks, it became a residence for the children of King Henry VIII, and then passed into the hands of the dukes and earls of Bridgewater.
