Lesley & Chris a Wasing Park Wedding video, 22nd of February 2014

With two gorgeous children of their own there was never any doubt that Lesley and Chris’s event would be as much a celebration of family as a wedding ceremony. Wasing Park was a fantastic choice for a winter wedding and I had a great time making this Wasing park wedding video Berkshire. The couple couldn’t have wished for a better day. The sun was shining, the crocuses were in flower and daffodils were just starting to break through to signal the start of spring. It was everything an English country wedding video could be.

Lesley gave a lot of thought to the comfort of her bridesmaids and mum, kitting them all out with personalised bathrobes and slippers as they were made up by the team at Beauty by Katrina. Wasing Park offers a choice of ceremony venues and it was a beautiful and excited bride who walked across the gravel path to the 15th Century St Nicholas’ church.

After the vows the guests were free to enjoy the stunning parkland of the Wasing Park Estate – a backdrop which made the job much easier for photographer Studio Rouge and me. Guests tucked into mini burgers and cute cones of fish and chips in The Castle Barn, which had been decorated with all white flowers by Cherubs Floral Design. The centrepiece was a stunning five tiered cake in pure white by Cakes by Shelly. The effect was soft yet dramatically romantic and an effective contrast to the rustic brick and wooden interior. The idea of replacing a traditional guest book with a fingerprint picture was a fun way to create a memory that will be displayed rather than tucked away in a drawer.

I really enjoyed filming this Wasing Park wedding video with a reception as fun as this. Lesley and Chris struck a great balance between elegance and comfort, creating a delightful atmosphere where the kids, including their children Molly and Albie, could enjoy the party as much as the adults. It was a treat to work with such a lovely family.

Selina & Brett Taplow House Wedding video, 8th of February 2014

I’ve yet to meet a couple who didn’t have an eagle eye on the weather on their wedding day, and as a film maker I always have a contingency plan when making a wedding video Berkshire. We thought we were in for a rare winter treat when Selina and Brett’s wedding day dawned with bright sunshine and blue skies, however even though these were soon covered with rain clouds it didn’t dampen their happiness.

The Georgian setting of Taplow House is a beautiful location for a traditional wedding. Selina showed more excitement than nerves as she got ready with her bridesmaids in the Hampton Room. She was a picture-perfect princess bride from her glittering tiara to the crystal encrusted hem on her stunning dress, with the sparkles on her long veil catching the light as she was taken through the village to the church in a white horse drawn carriage. The happiness of the congregation was clear as they showered the newlyweds with rose petal confetti as they made their way out of the church after the ceremony.

Thankfully the sun broke through again and we were able to film parts of our Taplow House wedding video outdoors before guests made their way inside for food and speeches. The wind did its best to steal Selina’s veil, but the photographer used this to great advantage and got some fantastic shots. A roving magician kept even the most cynical guests amazed with his tricks while the rest chatted and mingled. Selina and Brett had given each table the name of a sunny place which was a nice touch on and English winter’s day, and it wasn’t long before everyone was warming up on the cellar dance floor of Woofy’s Bar.

Particular highlights of this wedding were Brett’s moving speech about the beauty of his bride, the sensational asymmetric tiered wedding cake, and the seeming determination of the sun to fight its way through the cloud to shine on Brett and Selina’s special day.

Maria & Don Honourable society grays inn wedding video 1st Feb 2014

February is a pretty slow month socially, and usually fairly bleak in terms of weather. How fantastic, therefore, to have an invitation to forget winter woes and party with close family and friends in an amazing venue in the heart of London! Don and Maria got every detail of their big day spot on, but I got the impression that the ceiling could have fallen in and the catastrophe would have simply rolled over this couple without dimming their delight at being married.

It was a huge treat to make this wedding video Gray’s Inn. The entire day was the perfect blend of occasion and fun. Guests were chauffeured to the venue in an iconic red London double-decker bus which provided a bright splash of colour on a dull day. The Honourable Society’s buildings are steeped in ancient character and added a real sense that Don and Maria were creating their own footnote in history rather than simply tying the knot.

The formality of the Pension Room didn’t stop the ceremony being full of laughter and joy firstly as Maria, looking incredible in a designer wedding dress of pewter lace, was accompanied down the aisle by her sons, then again as the ecstatic bride danced her way out on the arm of her new husband. The sense of celebration continued into the reception with the groom’s sister delivering a witty speech in rhyme before Madhen had guests up and dancing with their energetic choice of music.

In all my years producing wedding video London, the romance and joy of the occasion still has the power to move me. Don and Maria’s happiness was shared by their guests who took genuine pleasure in seeing this couple affirm their love for each other and their families. It was a privilege to have been involved in such a wonderful day.
