Michelle + Max The Dairy wedding film Waddesdon

27th August 2016 Michelle & Max – Filmed at The Dairy, Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire

“I love how much we laugh together.”

The romantic setting of The Dairy at Waddesdon, in Buckinghamshire, was suitably magical for the union of this fun-loving pair. Max and Michelle’s wedding was such a pleasure to witness, as it was a true celebration of love and laughter- in spite of the rain! The couple met on an HR course, and the groom proclaimed that during their first date at Nando’s, “I knew we had a special connection!” Despite this somewhat unromantic start, the couple have clearly only had eyes for each other since that moment, and as they gazed adoringly at each other while wandering among the willow trees in this beautiful venue, their happiness was overwhelming and infectious.

Michelle wore a strapless, figure-hugging gown from Pure Couture with a sweetheart neckline and mermaid skirt. Her bridesmaids were stunning in burgundy, and there were touches of pink and lavender in the details throughout the day. During the ceremony, the guests were unperturbed by the persistent drizzle and simply popped open their umbrellas while the couple was mercifully sheltered under the awning of the Dairy roof. The rain seemed to hold off once they were pronounced husband and wife, and they were able to walk beaming down the aisle together.

A harpist entertained the guests in the beautiful grounds while the bridal party had their photographs taken, and then it was time for the reception. During his toast, Mike thanked his new wife for all her wonderful quirks and qualities, from her love of chocolate, to her singing in the shower and her obsession with the 2p machines at the arcade. He confessed to an early experience of Disney karaoke with his then-girlfriend, Michelle, and said he had felt “as if I was performing a duet in the Aladdin musical!” This, it seemed, set the tone for their relationship to come, and I can only wish them all the best as they begin an exciting new set of adventures together.

Charlotte + Scott Wokefield Park wedding film

26th August 2016 Scott & Charlotte – Filmed at Wokefield Park, Berkshire

Scott and Charlotte’s wedding at Wokefield Park in Berkshire was a fabulous, vibrant day. Beginning with a parade of vintage sports cars for the groom and his party to arrive in, the tone was set for a fun but elegant day. The stately setting of Wokefield Park was perfect for this couple’s light-hearted but thoroughly romantic commitment to each other. While getting ready for her big day, Charlotte received a letter from Scott that enclosed a heart locket, to remind her of the first time he told her that he loved her, in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris: “I knew from that moment that this day would come.”

Charlotte wore a beautiful strapless gown with sweetheart neckline and intricate lace detail, her gently curled hair falling to her shoulders. Her bridesmaids were in deepest indigo with exquisite beading at the shoulders and dainty sparkles in their hair. They carried cream rose bouquets to match the bride’s, which also had purple roses peeking through. The bride’s father had special ‘Father of the Bride’ socks and matching cufflinks!

The ceremony was a heart-warming and simple affair, with a tiny young ring-bearer tasked with the honour of presenting the groom with the all-important rings. At the moment the couple was able to take their first kiss as husband and wife, Charlotte admitted to her groom “my legs are like jelly!” Luckily, she now had a husband to support her as they walked down the aisle together. Outside, the beaming couple was showered with cream and crimson rose petals which gathered spectacularly on Charlotte’s skirt as extra decorative features for her already stunning gown. After a reception in a grand banquet hall, complete with touches of indigo to decorate the chairs and tables, the couple cut their indigo and white tiered cake, adorned with white sugar flowers. The dancing could then begin, and the night was topped off by a parade of glittering sparklers outside, a fitting end to a glorious day and the beginning of the couple’s magical life together.

Doug + Hannah Rhodes House wedding film Oxford

13th August 2016 Doug & Hannah – Filmed at Rhodes House, Oxford

David Bostock and I were hugely privileged to share a part in Doug and Hannah’s beautiful wedding alongside , which could be summed up perfectly by his words to his new wife at the reception: “the best feeling in the world.” This was a day of celebrating not only the couple and their new life together, but also the beautiful surroundings of the day, in Oxford. The glorious city played a crucial role in creating a romantic and traditional backdrop for this glorious union.

Hannah looked every inch the radiant bride, with delicate pearls in her side-swept hair, and a gorgeous gown with a lace overlay and flowers adorning the heels of her shoes. The bridesmaids were ravishing in deep purple, and the entire bridal party arrived at the chapel in style in a great purring Bentley. Doug looked suitably awe-struck by his approaching bride, and the pair gazed at each other happily throughout the ceremony.

A boys’ choir sang ‘Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring’ for the congregation while the couple signed the register, and then they were officially pronounced husband and wife! The sun was shining fondly on them as they emerged from the chapel, and Doug held a pretty parasol over his new wife’s head to shelter her and keep her cool. The entire wedding party then walked down the cobbled streets and past the historical buildings of Oxford to reach the reception venue, giving the delighted lunchtime crowds something to admire as they sat in the sun outside the local pubs! Once at Rhodes House, there was champagne all round, as well as Giant Jenga, Connect4 and a ‘foozball’ table for the guests to play on. China tea-sets were laid out for afternoon refreshments, before the sun set and it was time to head indoors. Dinner was served at a glorious grand table, with little hints of purple dotted about the room, including on the cake which was in classic white, festooned with gorgeous purple flowers. It was a spectacular and unique celebration of two people with warm hearts and a profound love for one another, and I wish them all the best!

Annabelle + Mike Leez Priory wedding film

6th August 2016 Annabelle & Mike – Filmed at Leez Priory, Essex

“I realized you were Mike’s princess today.”

For a father, the day of his daughter’s wedding can be a bittersweet one. Annabelle’s father was no exception, but he acknowledged graciously during his toast that his daughter was undoubtedly happy with the lovely Mike, and so as a father he couldn’t really ask for more. Annabelle and Mike’s wedding in the jaw-dropping splendor of Leez Priory in Essex was a magical day for a couple truly meant for each other. Mike described his new wife as “the lady of the day, and the lady of my life” and his bride was indeed both, in her gorgeous full-skirted gown with delicate lace sleeves and laced bodice. She wore a sleek veil that was pinned into her chic chignon up-do, and later transformed her look by removing the lace sleeves to free herself up for more elaborate dance moves!

Annabelle’s bridesmaids made a pretty picture in lavender gowns with lace bodices, carrying baby blue and lavender bouquets. It was a glorious sunny day, ideal for an outdoor ceremony- and as Annabelle walked towards her husband-to-be, with the turrets of Leez Priory behind her, she looked every inch the princess she was. Mike had to wipe away a tear as she approached him, and after they were pronounced husband and wife a little while later, he gave her a long-awaited kiss and triumphantly waved at the gathered guests, in happy disbelief at finding such a perfect partner. A string and keyboard musical interlude entertained the guests while Mike and Annabelle signed the register, and then before long they emerged as husband and wife, whooping and pumping the air before walking back down the aisle.

The grounds of Leez Priory made for a stunning sunset location, and the guests sprawled on the grass to enjoy the final moments of the afternoon, before the couple carried out their first dance on the lawn. They entertained their guests with a funky routine, which Mike in particular threw himself into with enthusiasm! At the reception, the tables each features Polaroid snaps of the couple in the various placed they have visited across the world, from Sugar Loaf Mountain, to St. Lucia and the Golden Gate Bridge. In his toast to his new wife, Mike expressed the hope that there’d be “plenty of running, plenty of travelling and plenty of karaoke” in their future, and with those key ingredients they are sure to have many happy adventures together!
