25th August 2018 Josie & Harry Ashridge house wedding video, Hertfordshire videographer

For Josie and Harry, it seemed that there was no better venue than Ashridge House. This beautiful venue has wide open spaces, beautiful countryside and a real sense of luxury – this was the exact feeling that I wanted to create when it came to making my own Ashridge House wedding video.

From the very moment that the guests arrived at Ashridge, they were impressed by how beautiful, light and spacious it was, which made it a delight to film. Everything was perfect, from the stunning dress that Josie wore to the bright and beautiful colours of the bridesmaid’s gowns.

Josie and Harry said their vows in a grand and ornate room which perfectly matched the glamour of the bride. It really was something special to be able to capture this happy couple as they said their vows and promised to love each other forever, all in front of their family and friends.

As the day progressed, the bride and groom took a walk through the beautiful grounds of the house, allowing them some time alone and also allowing me to film some truly memorable moments.

As the sun went down on their big day, the party started, and it was lovely to see the couple have some fun and showcase the personalities that made this a wedding to remember.

Our Love Story

We were born 10,000km apart, grew up with different cultures, yet after years of searching we met each other on a sunny day in London 15 months ago and haven’t looked back.

Our shared values and mutual attraction shone through during that first date. With our differences complementing each other and inspiring us to be better people, we have grown closer together and more in love every day since.

We have shared our enjoyment of hiking with a fantastic walking holiday in the Lake District, walks in the Chilterns, plus a memorable 12-mile hike in East Sussex on a day of torrential rain in April. Beautiful sunny seaside days in Rye and many fantastic culinary experiences ranging from Chinese restaurants to Turkish, Japanese, Indian, French, Italian, Mexican and traditionally British cuisine has fuelled our relationship.

Having made the courageous decision to come to England at the age of 20 and having experienced almost everything that England has to offer, in our time together, Fang has enjoyed her first traditional family Christmas, seen maypole dancing at a school fete, attended a cricket match and even had a bat and bowl herself!

I have similarly embraced Chinese culture and the two weeks that we spent together with Fang’s family in Hunan Province, China was an incredible experience. The generosity, love and acceptance that was waiting for me, from Fang’s family in Liling City and from her old friends in other cities we visited made China feel like a home away from home. To see, together, the traditional and the new of Fang’s home city, the modern cities of Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hong Kong and to witness the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and countryside was unforgettable.

Of greatest importance to us both are our families and close friends, so for our relationship to be embraced on both sides has been wonderful. Our wedding gives us both the first opportunity in England to return that generosity and love to Fang’s family and friends from China. So, we are looking forward to sharing the most important day of our lives with our family and friends and to help us celebrate the start of the rest of our life together.

Charlotte + Neil wedding film Ashridge House

1st May 2016 Charlotte + Neil filmed at Ashridge House, Hertfordshire

“Thank you to Gary and Tracy, who brought Charlotte into this world, giving me the person I have been looking for all my life.”

Charlotte’s new husband became slightly choked up at these words, as he gazed into the eyes of his new bride. I was privileged to witness Charlotte and Neil’s spectacular wedding in the majestic setting of Ashridge House in Hertfordshire. This day was made all the more special by the fact that the couple are expecting a baby, which, in the groom’s words, would make this event “complete.” The sun shone on this magical day as Charlotte and Neil declared their love for each other, and promised (through both tears and giggles) to honor and cherish each other for the rest of their lives.

Charlotte, in her exquisite Jasmine Couture wedding dress, complete with a sweetheart neckline and studded with sparkles, was supported by her brigade of nine bridesmaids in gorgeous dusty pink, two angelic flower-girls, and two mischievous little page-boys. The color scheme was elegant and refined in rose-gold, and the bride’s spectacular, sparkling Jimmy Choo stilettos matched- although she did change into some more appropriate, comfy dancing shoes later in the day!

Bride and bridesmaids descended two sets of opposing staircases to the sweet and gentle sounds of Pachelbel’s Canon on the violin and keyboard. Neil’s nerves seemed to evaporate and a smile lit up his face when he looked up to see his glowing bride begin the descent on the arm of her emotional father, who confessed in a tearful voice during his speech later, that “if I’ve got to hand my daughter over to anybody, I couldn’t have a nicer chap than Neil.” The couple steadied each other with gentle squeezes throughout the ceremony as they quivered in awe of the special moment.

The reception was topped off with a sumptuous meal- the bride and groom presided over proceedings in golden thrones- and a regal pink and gold cake by Natalie Porter. The couple slow-danced to Ed Sheeran’s ‘We Found Love,’ performed by a live band, before they were joined on the dance floor by their party. I wish this wonderful couple and their new baby all the best for their future together!
