11th October 2020 Jenny & Ryan wedding video | Oxfordshire videographer.

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

Jenny worked with Ryan’s brother at Virgin Media and met Ryan in Oxford on a night out.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Ryan is a bricklayer, Jenny an ICT manager – we enjoy each others company so just having quiet evenings at home, during the week one of us is usually busy with hobbies like football or Jenny’s at work late so weekends especially Sundays are our ‘us’ time.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Jenny had been dropping hints for around a year before the proposal but it was just at home on Saturday evening before we were planning on going out to dinner at Jenny’s mums.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

We knew we wanted a Church Wedding, it was just where – Horspath or Wheatley as Jenny has connections to both. Jenny’s parents and grandparents both married at Wheatley so that’s how we chose that. Ryan liked the Crazy Bear for a reception so after viewing it we knew it was right for us.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

I want them to just enjoy the day as much as we will. I want them to feel relaxed, drink plenty and have a good old boogie.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

The crazy bear didn’t need much ‘styling’ I think the venue covers that just by the decoration, we tried keeping everything quite simple. We went with just a colour scheme of Navy/Burgundy/Blush/Gold – Pinterest can be dangerous for designs and extras.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

I know it’ll be the biggest day of your lives, but include the people around you they are just as much as excited as you are and they do appreciate being involved. Also to go with your gut, don’t let others talk you out of anything if you want it have it otherwise you’ll just regret it.

28th September 2019 Jasmine & Eisuke wedding video | Buckinghamshire videographer

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

Jasmine is Malaysian and Eisuke is Japanese. The wedding will have themes from both our cultures.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Jasmine is an obstetrician and spends most of her time delivering babies. Eisuke works for a Japanese drinks company and is a massive Liverpool fan. We enjoy watching sports , cooking and eating good food and travelling.
How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Like all good proposals it did not go exactly according to plan. Jasmine forgot she was on call and came home late at 11pm. However, the answer was obviously yes.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

We wanted a family friendly venue with beautiful gardens and on site accommodation/ parking. We fell in love when we visited Stoke Place on a whim on a random Sunday. It is also in Buckinghamshire where Eisuke grew up, and not too far from London, where we both live.
What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

We wanted to include all our friends’ children so decided to have a child friendly wedding. We want everyone to have a good time in a relaxed setting and enjoy the amazing food at Stoke Place Hotel.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Cherry blossom elements from Japan form the centerpieces of the tables. There will be origami cranes both as decoration and in each napkin fold. The wedding cake has elements of Malaysian (pandan tier) and Japanese (Yuzu tier) with traditional Malaysian snacks during drinks.
What was the hardest decision during the planning?

Picking an invitation card, surprisingly! The final card has both cherry blossom elements, and gold foil embossing.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

We plan to play this video for our families abroad who cannot be with us on our wedding day in London.
This will also be screened in our Malaysian wedding in April 2020. We hope to incorporate views of British manor house and throwing of confetti (something not familiar to Malaysians!)

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

In the bar at RAF Cranwell!

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Sam is a civilian flying instructor who works for the military to help train military pilots who are completely new to flying – through their initial flying training course at RAF Cranwell. He has been a flying instructor for 11 years and has worked in the civilian industry previously, training commercial airline pilots.
Louisa is an RAF Officer and doctor – months away from qualifying as a GP – after 11 years of training! She met Sam from being on a course at the same unit as he worked and lived…the rest is history.
We have been together just over 3 years, and have very similar interests. We both enjoy flying, have a keen interest for classic cars, motorbikes, skiing, diving and cycling. We’ve holidayed skiing and walking/cycling. Louisa is a diving instructor and travels around the world teaching injured service personnel how to dive.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

During a skiing holiday with our friends. Although not at the top of a mountain – in our room whilst getting ready for dinner – although very personal and lovely!!!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

Louisa had always wanted to get married at Halton since first visiting in 2004 as an RAF cadet and returning for courses since, you’ll understand when you see the surroundings!

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

A fabulous time, laughing and enjoying themselves in a wonderful location with fizz and glamour.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Traditional- Downton Abbey – style wedding
Beautiful church for our ceremony followed by Country Mansion surroundings for the reception. Big and Bold, and certainly not understated!

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

Keeping the cost down!

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Expect the unexpected and don’t worry about the small stuff, remember what’s important about the occasion.

30th August 2019 Katy & Stew wedding video | Buckinghamshire videographer

Our Love Story

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Stew is an IT Systems Engineer (Geek). His hobbies include xbox, martial arts, drumming and land rovers.
Katy is a podiatrist and her hobbies include cross stitch, other crafts and jewellery making, baking and gin. As a couple our favorite things are Mavis (our cat) and spending as much time in our camper van ‘Bongo Jerry’ as we can. We enjoy touring the UK and hope to head over to Europe next year.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

We had been on holiday touring in our Camper and I had seen some lovely rings in an Antique shop in York. Stew had purchased one and then when we returned home he suggested we go for a walk at Waddesdon Manor. We walked around the grounds and sat in the rose gardens for a while. He produce a box and asked if I would do the honour of becoming his wife. Obviously I said yes and we celebrated with a round of tea in the manor!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

We chose the Five Arrows as we have been there before and loved the place. We spend a lot of time at Waddesdon Manor and the fact we could have a small relaxed and fun wedding at the Five Arrows and have some photos taken at the manor meant we never really looked anywhere else. We knew it was the place before we even visited.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

Fun, relaxed and enjoyable. With Sylar (magician) to help entertain the guests and get everyone chatting and have provided garden games. We don’t want anyone to feel the need to be formal

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Sunflowers and rustic. Katy and her friends have made lots of bunting to decorate. We want to bring happiness and sunshine into the room.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

The guest list. Its impossible to invite everyone and we found it very hard to stick to our numbers. It did make us realise how lucky we are to have so many amazing people in our lives.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Don’t worry about the small stuff. It will all come together and keep your wedding party (bridesmaids etc) small. Less arguments and more fun!

17th August 2019 Evlynn & Adam wedding video | Buckinghamshire videographer

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

We met in Bournemouth after being introduced by one of the Groomsmen.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

We both love travel and food. We try to explore new cities as often as we can and take in as many nice restaurants and bars as we possibly can. We’re always with our family or friends at the weekends when we aren’t away.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Adam carried the ring all the way from Hatton Garden to Thailand and after a week of carrying the ring in his wallet and being nervous, he proposed at a beach front private dining in Phuket. Ev was annoyed because she had no idea and was wearing an £8 outfit!!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

As soon as we drove up to the main house at Stoke Park, we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. The grounds are stunning and as you view the house as you approach it’s very impressive.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

One they will remember. Through photos and videos… The food, music and entertainment are a big part of our day, so we want to ‘wow’ our guests and give them a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

No theme as such, we’ve kept traditional/neutral as the venue itself is very grand and ornate. White/Green/Gold is the core colour theme. We’re trying to bring a modern twist in the evening with our lighting and band choice.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

The menu! We loved all the food so choosing a few courses was tough!

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Do it for you. It’s your day.

3rd August 2019 Ella & Sam wedding video, Buckinghamshire Videographer

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

We met through friendship groups and he happened to be living on the same roads as me for years.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Sam is a builder and works with his brother and Dad .
And I Ella work as Teaching assistant in a little school with 4-5 years olds.
Sam’s hobbies are fishing, Xbox and Air-softing.
My hobbies are socialising and occasionally fishing with Sam.
We love to spend time together whether it’s going out and seeing new things, meeting friends and family or staying at home watching Movies.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Sam was very caring and thought everything through.
On the 28th of may it was our 7 year anniversary and it was a beautiful day and Sam said that he would like to take you for a Picnic later to a lovely place called Ivinghoe beacon that overlooks beautiful views.
So we made a picnic and of we went to Ivinghoe.
We laid a blanket down and had a lovely picnic and talked and laughed for ages until….
Sam sat in front of me and I had my back to woodland, he seemed a bit twichy and worried and I was concerned so was asking him what’s wrong and he said…..
Ella look at that behind you, as I turned around my 3 best friends and my beautiful sister was there standing with beautiful flowers in their hands and signs saying WILL. YOU MARRY ME!
I couldn’t believe my eyes and the effort he had gone through to get everyone together for the proposal.
( except my maid of honour Lily who was unable to attend as she was on holiday but she gave Sam the go ahead  )
I turned back around and Sam was on one knee with a beautiful ring and I was so excited and overwhelmed I forgot to say yes.
Finally I said yes and we all celebrated and shot home to tell my mum and dad and they took us all to the pub to celebrate.
It was by far one of the best days of my life that my best friend has ask me to marry him.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

My Mum and I were so exited we started looking and planning straight away. We looked at a few venues but we fell in love with a place called The De Vere Latimer house.
This venue is very local to us and had such beautiful grounds.
And It just felt so right to get married there.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

I would like my guest to feel relaxed and comfortable and the day to be full of happiness and enjoyment.
I would like the day to run smoothly and for the guest to have a great day.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Our wedding has a colour theme of Grey and Dusky Pink. It is going to be very simple but effective with low flowers as the centre peace’s on the tables and flowers on the pew ends of the chairs.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

The Hardest decision was choosing who can come to the wedding with the numbers that we had be given as the max. As we both have very large Families.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

The Advice I would give is if anyone offers to help then take it and also to start planning as quick as you can as time goes very quickly.

We chose to be engaged for two years so we didn’t feel rushed or under pressure.

2nd August 2019 Alaina & Sam wedding video, Buckinghamshire videographer

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

We met at school when we were 16 years old. We were friends for 7 years before becoming a couple.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

We love to travel the world: Holidays have included safari in south Africa, driving down the west coast of America, Maldives, Thailand, Cambodia, Sumatra trekking to see the orangutans. We love food and wine – we have been to France and California to the wine regions and plan on going to cape town in November for our honeymoon. We love a drink and to socialise with our friends. We have lived in our house in Brill for 5 years and absolutely love the village!

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Sam proposed on a beach in Ireland. Ireland is somewhere we have always talked about going but never have. Alaina knew he was going to propose (because she always books the trips & holidays!) so had her nails done ready! Following the engagement we didn’t tell anyone for 24 hours, so had a night partying and celebrating followed by driving the ring of Kerry the next day before returning to the beach where we got engaged with a bottle of champagne to facetime family and friends.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

Stockingwood Farm is Alaina’s grand parents house and where they have always lived since before she was born. Alaina used to spend a lot of time at Stockingwood farm growing up – after school and in the school holidays. She is very close to her grandparents and hopefully her grandad will give her away on the wedding day if he is well enough.  All saints church in Hillesden is where Alaina and her cousins and siblings were christened and is only 1 mile down the road from Stockingwood Farm. Sam wanted to get married in a church as his family are religious so it was the perfect choice.  Putting a marquee up at Stockingwood Farm seemed like the perfect choice as it means we can have a wedding weekend and celebrate over a couple of days. The wedding is on Friday 2nd August and the after party is on Saturday 3rd August.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

A GREAT PAAARRRTTTYYYYYY!!!!

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

We have focused on food, booze and music. The theme is clean, crisp and classic – the marquee will represent this and the flowers are all white also. #bishbashboshed is our wedding hashtag and will be on the photos printed from our photobooth to create a wedding book.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

Deciding how much over our budget we are going to go!

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

When you get stressed in all the details, planning and logistics, remember that the wedding is about you as a couple and celebrating your wedding day and love for each other.

13Th July 2019 Ceris & Ed Stoke Park wedding video, Buckinghamshire videographer

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

We were set up on a blind date by mutual friends. I stood Ed up on our first date (which he never lets me forget) only for us to rearrange a week later!

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

We both love life and share so much in common that it feels like we’ve both spent our life waiting to find each other! We are best friends and enjoy every minute of our busy lives together. We’re blessed and lucky to be able to experience amazing holidays, hotels, restaurants, concerts, sporting events and parties however despite this hustle and bustle our favourite thing is to be together cuddled up on the sofa or in bed having lazy lie ins at the weekend.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Ed proposed in the garden of the house he used to live in. The garden was around 2.5 acres and a large part of it was an overgrown wilderness which had paths mowed in it to be like a secret garden. I was due to be coming up from Swansea on the Wednesday and on the Tuesday Ed called me and said he’d seen some really strange lights in the garden and to remind him to show me the next day! When I came up the next day I said about going to see the lights but he said that it wasn’t yet dark (it was early July) so the lights wouldn’t be there. Eventually around 10:30-11pm he said that we should go and see the lights, by this time I was in my pyjamas! We trekked through the undergrowth by torch light and eventually Ed pointed out a glow in the distance, I immediately thought it was some aliens or UFOs as he’d mentioned that earlier in the day and I couldn’t explain it any other way! As we got closer it became apparent that it was a circle of what seemed like hundreds of candles and my thoughts turned from UFOs to some sort of pagan sacrificial ritual!!! I was completely thrown and was trying to look in the bushes for runaway pagans when Ed called my name and as I turned round he was stood with a ring in his hand!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

We’d been to stay at Stoke Park before and Ceris had said it would be an amazing venue for a wedding, so it was the only place we looked at for the wedding.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

We want them to enjoy the day, reacquaint themselves with old friends, make new friends, eat, drink, dance and laugh through the whole day!

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Glamourous, glitzy and classy with a pink, white and sparkles theme

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

Whether to walk down the aisle on my own or choose someone else to replace my dad

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Be laid back and don’t move house, buy a business and go through court all at the same time!
