Stephanie + Eddie Caswell House wedding film
26th November 2016 Stephanie & Eddie– Filmed at Caswell House, Oxfordshire
On a crisp November day, I was thrilled to document the wedding of Stephanie and Eddie, in a winter wonderland celebration at Caswell House that mirrored the couple’s love of the outdoors, particularly of the snow! As an Olympic Mogul skier, Eddie was thrilled to discover that Stephanie could not only keep up with him on the slopes but also matched his enthusiasm and sense of adventure during their first trip to Switzerland together. Their wedding, although missing the element of real snow (Oxfordshire wasn’t quite able to recreate the white peaks of Switzerland) still had the feel of a classically elegant celebration with the simple cleanness of a winter’s morning on the piste.
Stephanie’s jaw-dropping gown was fit for a queen, in shimmering satin with an asymmetric design and glorious full skirt. Her hair was gathered delicately in a regal yet soft style, with a halo of gentle curls around her face. Her two flower girls were angelic in white, with mini fur shrugs, and they made a very charming pair as they slowly made their way up the aisle ahead of Stephanie’s arrival, placing petals on the floor one by one! The guests were enchanted by the two little girls, who eventually reached the end of the aisle and enabled Stephanie to begin her own important journey with her new husband.
Eddie and Stephanie gazed in adoration at each other during their short and sweet ceremony and emerged as husband and wife with beaming smiles. At their reception, Eddie thanked his new bride for making him “a better version of myself” and graciously thanked her father for inviting him officially into the family. The couple’s wedding cake was aptly graceful in icy blue, with five enormous tiers and a layer of blue icing ruffles at the base. Their first dance was upbeat and incorporated a fun routine- Eddie, in particular, showed off his superstar moves! It was a joyful occasion from start to finish, and I wish the couple many happy adventures both on the ski slopes and off!
Alice + Jack Caswell House Cotswolds wedding film
18th September 2016 Alice & Jack– Filmed at Caswell House, Oxfordshire
“I love Jack and Jack loves me and that makes him pretty darn intelligent to me.”
This, Alice’s father had to concede, made a lot of sense- and during his toast, he delighted in welcoming his new son-in-law, Jack, to the family officially. He described this momentous day as a “joining of cultures” and indeed, there were many layers to this special gathering for the wedding of Alice and Jack at Caswell House, in Oxfordshire. Jack was dressed in his official military regalia- including wearing spurs on his boots, which Alice had pointed out as being very “dashing” to her father when she was telling him about her new boyfriend a few years before! Alice’s American and Sicilian parents were evidently as proud of their beautiful daughter as Jack’s family was of him, and the confirming of the love between the two families was wonderfully palpable.
Alice wore an off-the-shoulder lace and satin gown with an exquisite, perfectly rounded train. She removed the lace sleeves later on in the day, transforming her look into something equally gorgeous: a strapless gown with a beaded belt. Her bridesmaids wore blue and purple print halter-neck dresses, a wonderful twist on classic bridesmaid attire. A friend of the couple read a poignant piece during the ceremony addressing the bride and groom’s embarking on a new journey, and proclaimed that “now you are two persons, but there is only one life before you.” Indeed, during the toasts at the reception later, Jack declared that Alice “makes me happier than I ever dreamed I could be,” and thus it seemed the two were perfectly ready to begin that one life together.
Their dinner was in an opulent yet understated setting, with stunning silver candelabras dotted around the tables. The couple cut their traditional and elegant cake with a sabre- a fitting choice given Jack’s profession as a soldier- and the pair danced by the shimmering reflections of the silver globe that spun above them.
Rebecca + Andrew Caswell House wedding film
17th September 2016 Andrew & Rebecca – Filmed at Caswell House, Oxfordshire
“Rebecca is quite literally the best person I know.”
Rebecca and Andrew’s wedding at Caswell House in Oxfordshire was a delightful celebration of the love between these two special people. Their families and friends gathered to witness a charming and heartfelt union between the pair, who first met in an Irish sports bar, and the celebration brought together guests from the many different walks of life that the two have shared. There were tributes to New York in particular throughout the ceremony, from the fun Big Apple and Statue of Liberty props, to the table names laid out in a map of Manhattan.
Rebecca wore a stunning off-the-shoulder gown with lace detail and a flared mermaid skirt, with delicate scalloped edges. Her glittery peep-toe Jimmy Choos and dainty tiara completed the glamour of her outfit. Her bridesmaids were elegant in dusty pink infinity gowns, matching the pink ties and button holes of the groomsmen. Rebecca’s father admitted in his toast that he was rather choked up when he first saw how exquisite she looked on her big day, and Andrew was also evidently blown away judging by his expression when he snuck a cheeky look of his bride as she walked down the aisle. During the ceremony, Rebecca and Andrew made their own promises to each other- which featured Rebecca promising to try not to be late, and to allow Andrew to ride his bike when he wanted to… within reason!
After the ceremony the Nero String Quartet entertained the guests while they enjoyed champagne and canapés- as well as a range of fun lawn games. The evening saw the party move into the barn where the bare brick walls and beams were lit up with twinkling fairy-lights- the perfect setting for the couple’s first dance. They cut their lovely, elegant cake made by The Pretty Cake Company, and then it was really time to party. It was a truly special day, between two wonderful people very much in love- I wish them the best for a very happy future! A little mention to David Bostock and Katie Reay Scott makeup artist, glad to be apart of the dream teams.
Emma + Pete Caswell House wedding film
20th May 2016 Emma & Pete – Filmed at Caswell House, Oxfordshire
I was thrilled to film Emma and Pete’s charming outdoor wedding, which was bathed in glorious May sunshine, at Caswell House in Oxfordshire. Emma’s elegant gown with gorgeous lace detail on the bodice and sleeves was heightened by her sleek chignon up-do, with delicate pink roses both in her bouquet and her hair and she wore absolutely exquisite, peach-coloured pearl earrings. Emma’s bridesmaids were the epitome of elegance in their rose-gold gowns, and they were preceded down the aisle by two dapper young pageboys who were given a well-earned high five each by the groom as they reached him. The congregation was soon distracted by the arrival of Emma and her lovely ladies, and Pete was not the only one to appear overwhelmed with emotion by the sight of them.
The couple walked back down the aisle, now husband and wife, to applause and a showering of delicate petals, before being handed a glass of champagne each. There were endless trays of Pimm’s and delicious eats, as well as Giant Jenga and croquet to be played on the lawn in the sunshine! As the sun went down, the gathered guests moved into the glorious fairy-lit barn for dinner, seated at tables adorned with boxes of truffles and jars of sweets.
In his heartfelt toast, Pete thanked his new wife for making him “the happiest man-boy alive,” and also thanked their parents in a tearful tribute for their continuing love and support. Soon, it was time to cut the cake- a stunning, modern gold and white piece of art- and the party headed to the dance-floor where the guests were entertained by a full live band. There was also a fun photo-booth set up in the Bentley outside, for guests as well as the happy couple to take silly photos with giant emoji’s and other props. It was a glorious celebration filled with fun and laughter, and I was honoured to witness these two wonderful people begin their lives together!
