Jillian + Tom Heythrop Park wedding film

29th May Jillian & Tom – Filmed at Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire

Jillian and Tom first met while working on the cruise ships, and their wedding was a symbolic union between not only their hearts, but the hearts of two families from different parts of the world. As the groom stated in his speech, to have all of their friends and family there, who had witnessed their relationship grow over the previous few years, was truly spectacular. The setting at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire was suitably grand and stately for the occasion, and the bride was dressed to match in a gown from Brides by Demetrios. She had opted for a strapless, beaded corset with sweetheart neckline, a full skirt with ruffled detail at the back and an elaborate train. Her hair was curled subtly and completed with a sparkling beaded tiara. Jillian’s bridesmaids were gorgeous in deep purple, to match the purple flowers of her bouquet and the elegant ribbon adorning the chairs during the ceremony. They were also joined by two adorable flower-girls all in white.

The bride, along with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, descended a pair of curving stairways from the house to where their guests stood waiting, outside. The groom was evidently awestruck at the sight of his bride, who was accompanied by both her parents- as she reached the aisle, she gathered herself quickly before giving her father a swift smile and beginning the walk to her waiting groom.

After the couple had said their vows, and “promise promised” to love and honour one another for the rest of their lives, they were pronounced husband and wife and showered with rose petals before heading inside for the reception. There were many tearful speeches, particularly from her father who was overcome by the excitement and joy of the day. The couple cut their exquisite cake by Claire Louise Curtis from Cakes With Grace with a sabre, before they enjoyed their first dance on the spot-lit dance-floor. Tom spun his new bride across the floor, dipping and lifting her to the guests’ delight. They were soon joined by their families, and both were raised on chairs to be hoisted around the excited crowd. Finally, a dance for Jillian with her father was in order, and the crowd cheered them on as they hugged and shed a few more tears of happiness at the occasion.

Vicky + Pip Boarstall Tower wedding film

28th May 2016 Vicky & Pip – Filmed at Boarstall Tower, Oxfordshire

Vicky and Pip’s vibrant, quirky, colourful wedding was a joy to witness, and a beautiful day filled with love and laughter. The celebration was replete with distinct symbols and signs of the couple’s fun-loving and lighthearted characters, and their families threw themselves into the spirit of the day as well. The morning was spent industriously, with Vicky and her bridal party creating exquisite buttonholes made from, well, buttons. Vicky’s bouquet was also made from a selection of gorgeous blue buttons, and her full-skirted gown with lace embellishment on the bodice was also complemented by a striking beaded flapper headband. Even her shoes featured a special, quirky detail, and had the poem ‘Something Borrowed, Something Blue’ etched into the soles.

The bridal party travelled to the church in roaring high spirits, and in a series of three vintage automobiles. Hooting to announce their arrival, they gaily descended from their various vehicles and headed down the aisle to where Pip was waiting. Vicky’s father handed his beloved daughter to the groom with a quick request to him to “Look after her” which was acknowledged solemnly by a nod from Pip. After the ceremony, the bride and groom gave each other their first kiss as a married couple, and the congregation was encouraged to give them a big round of applause by the minister.

Outside, Vicky had to be given a little help by her new husband as she clambered back up into their vintage wagon to head to the reception. The party was a wonderful, fairground-style affair, with delicious traditional fish and chips served from a food truck, and a proper ice-cream van for guests to be served their desserts- the bride even took up her place in the van to hand people their pudding!

The wedding cake was as artistic and fun as the couple, with yet more buttons as the signature adornment. The groom’s speech was also completed with that cheeky flair seen throughout the day, as he called upon that “excellent lyricist, Beyonce Knowles” to provide a few words of wisdom. He had, as she suggested “put a ring on it” and was thrilled to be starting his new life with Vicky (also known as Vicky Squirrel).

Emma + Pete Caswell House wedding film

20th May 2016 Emma & Pete – Filmed at Caswell House, Oxfordshire

I was thrilled to film Emma and Pete’s charming outdoor wedding, which was bathed in glorious May sunshine, at Caswell House in Oxfordshire. Emma’s elegant gown with gorgeous lace detail on the bodice and sleeves was heightened by her sleek chignon up-do, with delicate pink roses both in her bouquet and her hair and she wore absolutely exquisite, peach-coloured pearl earrings. Emma’s bridesmaids were the epitome of elegance in their rose-gold gowns, and they were preceded down the aisle by two dapper young pageboys who were given a well-earned high five each by the groom as they reached him. The congregation was soon distracted by the arrival of Emma and her lovely ladies, and Pete was not the only one to appear overwhelmed with emotion by the sight of them.

The couple walked back down the aisle, now husband and wife, to applause and a showering of delicate petals, before being handed a glass of champagne each. There were endless trays of Pimm’s and delicious eats, as well as Giant Jenga and croquet to be played on the lawn in the sunshine! As the sun went down, the gathered guests moved into the glorious fairy-lit barn for dinner, seated at tables adorned with boxes of truffles and jars of sweets.

In his heartfelt toast, Pete thanked his new wife for making him “the happiest man-boy alive,” and also thanked their parents in a tearful tribute for their continuing love and support. Soon, it was time to cut the cake- a stunning, modern gold and white piece of art- and the party headed to the dance-floor where the guests were entertained by a full live band. There was also a fun photo-booth set up in the Bentley outside, for guests as well as the happy couple to take silly photos with giant emoji’s and other props. It was a glorious celebration filled with fun and laughter, and I was honoured to witness these two wonderful people begin their lives together!

Tegwen + Tim wedding film Tythe barn Launton

14th May 2016 Tegwen & Tim – Filmed at The Tythe Barn, Launton, Oxfordshire

On this gorgeous sunny May day, I was honored to witness Tim and ‘Tegs’ fulfill a promise that was, in fact, first made while they were at school. Tim admitted to having adorned his exercise book with “Tim Loves Tegs” in a big heart in Lower 6th, and this pair that had been told off for flirting in class were both overjoyed that this prophecy came true today. Tegwen looked flawless in a fitted, elegant gown with exquisite pearl beading on the bodice, and a stunning ‘up-do’ that framed her face in ethereal, wispy curls.

Her husband looked strapping, as did his band of merry groomsmen who each had a pair of brightly coloured socks on, only revealed during the photo session after the ceremony!

Tegwen’s bridesmaids looked wonderful in classic navy, their blue and pink bouquets just picking out the subtle but elegant tones of the couple’s colour scheme. For the guests, there was Pimm’s on arrival as they waited for the ceremony to begin, and once settled in their seats they gazed in awe at Tegwen and her father as they meandered down a path lined with twisted tree vines that met above their heads in a fairy-like archway.

As the groom led his new bride out again, he punched the air triumphantly with his beaming wife on his arm. After the ceremony the guests dined in the rustic yet elegant space of this wedding film Tythe Barn, twinkling fairy-lights strewn across the beams above them. Each table was named after a particular pub, so the guests were seated at a variety of much-loved establishments from The Red Lion, to Mullins, to The Devonshire and beyond! This quirky touch set the tone for the party to come, as after dinner the guests danced the night away with the beautiful bride and groom at the centre of the crowded dance-floor.

Abby & Chris Wedding video Le Manoir Blog

On the 14th of December 2015, Abby and Chris sealed their love for eternity at Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons Oxfordshire. It was an absolute pleasure to shoot their wedding video Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons Oxfordshire and Raymond Blanc Place. As Chris said, “It was beyond our expectations.” That statement alone pretty much sums up how absolutely romantic this day truly was! A night filled with fairy lights and magic, Abby and Chris are a true inspiration when it comes to love. An intimate wedding, with 14 guests, the reception boasted of fine dining and an evening with magician David Penn. While Neale James caught every other moment on camera. What a joy it was to be a part of such an intimate evening basked in the light of love. The bride was simply elegant and dressed in white while the groom was suited and booted with maroon accents. Both simply sparkled with one look at another when Abby came down the aisle. As if their wedding ceremony wasn’t romantic enough… The magic truly was all around Abby and Chris — even in their epic wedding walk surrounded by sparklers. They say it’s good luck when you have a little rain on your wedding day, and luck was in the air for Abby and Chris. Through tears of joy, laughter and love Abby and Chris said “I do” in one gorgeous fashion. The reception, candle lit in romance, was full of entertainment, magic and most of all — true love! Thank you so much to Abby and Chris for asking us to help you record memories that will last a lifetime. We truly hope every day for the rest of your life together is just as magical as the day you came to be husband and wife!

Kelly and Brian wedding video Oxford blog

It is always a pleasure to be able to share in the joy of a wedding day, and the marriage of Kelly and Brian on the eighth of August, two-thousand fifteen was especially wonderful. The beautiful day was enhanced with the happiness shared by the family and friends who joined them on this special day. Not many couples completely nail a perfect wedding, but to say this special day shared with Kelly and Brian was magical, would be an understatement. Both of the gorgeous venues are richly steeped in history. The Brasenose College and Oxford Union both offer such an elegant atmosphere for a beautiful wedding, and are both quite special to this American couple who attended school here. This magical place is where they met and fell in love, so having their wedding here was a natural choice.

“Love is when you can stare at each other for hours, and your cheeks will hurt every time.”

Not a single detail or moment was missed by the photographer, Barker Evans, and the classic beauty of Kelly and Brian made this a gorgeous wedding to film. The bride wore a lovely and demure dress in soft ivory, with a lace overlay that showed off her shoulders, and reached to three quarter length sleeves. The full ball gown skirt emphasized her figure, and her handsome husband looked perfect in a black tuxedo beside her. A chapel length veil finished Kelly’s ensemble, floating elegantly in the breeze while walking down beautiful cobblestone streets together. The intimate moments shared by these two were magical – they were able to get lost in each other, allowing for some truly wonderful footage to be capture. You can just feel the love between Brian and Kelly, as they talk, as they smile, as they kiss, and as they hold hands. This is a love that will last forever, and you can see it in their faces when they smile at each other.

I’m so lucky to have been able to shoot this wedding video Oxford, and I am very much looking forward to seeing Brian and Kelly next year! I will be providing videography services for Kelly’s sister’s wedding in 2017 in Colorado USA!

Congratulations, Kelly and Brian. May you always remember the happiness from today, and let it guide you through your tomorrows.

Bonnie + Martin Aynhoe Park wedding video blog

An intimate affair to remember, Bonnie & Martin said “I do” in one of the most joyous ways possible — in big, bold colour. In a world full of imagination and excitement, where two people dared to dream beyond love. With the picturesque Aynhoe Park Oxfordshire as the backdrop to their wedding video, filled with the largest collection of UK taxidermy, the sky really was the limit when it came to capturing the wonder-filled love between Bonnie and Martin. This Aynhoe Park wedding video really has been one of my favourite to shoot to this very day, because it was simply one “really out there place!” I knew the possibilities would be endless with this truly romantic, far out couple. Both Bonnie and Martin work in the film industry as stunt doubles. Both are quite successful in their careers: Bonnie as Angelina Jolie in Maleficent and Martin for Johnny Depp. A very fun fact about this adorably quirky couple: Martin married the girl he first saw in a 1980’s music video! Bonnie and Martin’s reception was simply paradise. A scrumptious champagne reception was held on the lawn with family, friends and loved ones. Followed by a grand dinner, more champagne, and fire pits as the sun went down. This wedding was nothing but spectacular — especially when the couple hit the dance floor for one epic first dance. The talented duo entertained guests and showed just how far their love goes for one another in one amazingly acrobatic dance lift! The wedding of Bonnie and Martin truly was one filled with art, love, romance and creativity. We truly hope the rest of your years together are filled with all of that and so much more. Thank you for letting us be a part of your very special day

Gemma & Chris wedding video Heythrop Park blog

Gemma and Chris met in secondary school and on the 4th of July, 2015 they finally said: “I do.” The happy couple wed at Heythrop Park and for the backdrop of their wedding video Heythrop Park Oxfordshire proved to be absolutely magical. The famous country house and golf course, filled with natural beauty, were truly one perfect wedding venue. True childhood sweethearts, Gemma, and Chris, planned one amazing day to remember for all of their family and friends. The entire day embodied Gemma’s personality — full of life and so very fun. One wedding full of nothing but love. Love for friends, love for family and love for one another. Gemma lit up the room in her dress by Butterfly Bridal Boutique. The groomsmen followed suit in tales accented with gorgeous Tiffany blue ties and top hats that were to die for! The ushers soon passed out wedding programs embossed with Tiffany blue ribbons and jewels. The attention to detail truly made it one ceremony to remember. After the happy couple had vowed their eternal love for one another, they made their epic walk out of the church through a sea of flower petals. Photographer Neil Hanson caught every special moment on camera as the day seemed to fly by in an extraordinary way. The reception was simple, elegant and full of special touches. From the cutting of the cake to Gemma’s dance with her father, nothing was spared in wedding detail and quaint elegance. The sheer joy on every guest’s face truly summed up how magical, amazing and joyous this day was for both Gemma and Chris. To Gemma and Chris, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day. I hope the love you share for one another lasts a very magical lifetime!

Garry and Suzanne wedding video The Manor Weston on the green, 9th of August 2014

A fantastic day greeted Garry and Suzanne as they prepared for their wedding ceremony at The Manor Weston-on-the-Green in Oxfordshire. Their plans for an outdoor ceremony were able to go ahead and it was a very happy couple who exchanged vows in the dappled shade of the arbour, watched by their children, family, and friends in the Knot Garden. Their crisp white and purple colour scheme looked sensational against the rich green of the hedges and manicured lawns, making it a breeze for photographer Aaron Collett to get some stunning shots.

It was clear from the beginning that Garry and Suzanne had definite ideas about what would make their day perfect, from the way their children were included in the preparation and ceremony, to the naming of each table after different Ferrari models. After canapés and drinks on the lawn, everyone made their way into the Baron’s Hall for a top-class meal, followed by the cutting of the cake and first dance. The Old Washoe band had everyone on the dancefloor with their blend of blues and rock, and the party was rounded off with an impressive firework display that lit up the grounds.

I always get a kick out of filming a wedding video Oxfordshire, but it’s even more of a pleasure when the sun is shining and everything comes together the way it should. Garry and Suzanne are a confident couple who created a wedding day which represented their relationship, combining their individual passions into a unique and beautiful occasion that everyone enjoyed. It was a true family affair and I am happy to wish them a lifetime of joy together.

Chris and Angela Oxford Wedding Video St Edmund Hall, 2nd of August 2014

It is interesting to film a wedding where the bride and groom come from two different countries. It isn’t always an easy process, but watching how they integrate their cultures and introduce their families is a good indication of what their marriage will be like and, judging from the efforts Chris and Angela have made, theirs will be even more wonderful than their wedding day.

The ceremony was held in St Edmund Hall in Oxford, in an intimate wood-panelled room where Angela and Chris’ vows could be heard clearly by their family and friends. The dark wood was offset perfectly by Angela’s beautiful white dress and the magnificent floral creations from Daisies Flower Shop. Rain didn’t delay photographer Mike Fear from getting his group shots on the green, and it wasn’t long before the wedding guests were climbing aboard a vintage red London bus for their journey to the reception venue.

The luxurious Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel was a stunning location for this wedding video Oxford. The sun had banished the last of the rain clouds and it was a pleasure filming the happy couple as they strolled along the bank of the Thames. After delicious meal guests were treated to a very special first dance. It was clear from the slick performance that Chris and Angela had put a considerable amount of thought and effort into every aspect of their celebration, and their enjoyment was clear as Chris lifted and spun his willowy bride to everyone’s delight.

Angela and Chris’ day was sheer romance, from the bridesmaid’s pleated coral chiffon dresses to the soft pink and white colour scheme, flower petal confetti, and the sculptural swags on the cake by The Cake Shop. It was a treat to have been involved in this elegant event. Congratulations!
