Our wedding film love story

How did you guys meet?

We met online, we bonded over our love of dogs before going on our first date. I took Lisa on a cocktail tour of Bury St Edmunds & our relationship grew from there.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

We spend our time watching films and shows we both love, socialising with friends and family. We also spend time with the dogs Lisa cares for through her dog sitting business.

How did the proposal go down? (All the gushy details, I love this bit!)

I proposed to Lisa at the family farm on the exact spot we are having our ceremony on.

Stockingwood is the spiritual home of our family and was a beautiful place to propose. We had a prosecco picnic in the woods and sunshine with our, now departed dog, Simba.

I popped the question and then after an hour of enjoying time basking in the moment, went to the front of the property, where friends and family were waiting for a surprise, immediate, engagement party!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

We want our guest to enjoy a relaxed unique wedding environment. Because we are at the family farm, we have flexibility to do things our way, completely different! From guests having a drink on arrival while enjoying upbeat festival lounge music, after their walk through the grounds. To using Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody as our ceremony hymn! This event is uniquely us and quirky! Lisa is coming down the aisle barefoot & wearing cowboy boots in the evening!

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Boho festival vibes.

Boys are in tweed suits with a light inspiration from Peaky Blinders.

Natural Wild flowers set in the silver birch woods.

Rustic.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

Too many to mention but we know each tough decision will be worthwhile on the day

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Start early and do what you want. Really think about what is important to the both of you!
