Our wedding film love story

How did you guys meet?

A wonderful thing called Tinder. We met back in 2015 where we went on our first date to Miller & Carter. Jake’s phone died whilst on a work trip and was waiting outside the restaurant whilst Hannah has last minute nerves and turned up 45 minutes late! We then walked back to our cars to find we had both parked right next to each other in the car park.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Jake works within a family business providing pumping solutions to key processing industries whilst Hannah is a Credit Control manager for Smeg UK.

We like to go for long dog walks with our Springerdoodle Bertie & our daughter Darcie.

How did the proposal go down? (All the gushy details, I love this bit!)

We went on holiday to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico March 2020. On our first morning at 7am, we were struggling to sleep due to jet lag so decided to go for a walk along the beach. Jake decided to run back to the room to grab a “magazine” and returned back on one knee and asked “will you marry me?”. I knew he had taken advantage of the Vodka optics in our room as Dutch courage!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

Hannah researched a lot of Barn venues whilst returning from the flight from Mexico & going straight into lockdown. We visited 2 venues, but Caswell House stole our hearts!

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

A fun, memorable but chilled vibe.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

A boho, simple but personal theme.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

Food – having to sample all of the AMAZING food by Indulgence and having to choose for our menu.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Tick things off as you go along & keep a handy spreadsheet!!
