Our wedding film love story

How did you guys meet?

13 years ago, through friends and we’ve been friends ever since. We’ve been together for 5 years this year.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

We love working out together and walking the dogs.

How did the proposal go down? (All the gushy details, I love this bit!)

In Newquay, on a cliff edge, Alex asked Jess to face the view and said he’ll take a picture. Jess turned around and Alex was on one knee, with a ring. Jess was so excited she took the ring and squealed, during these squeals and tears, Alex said ‘Jessica Montague, will you marry me?’

During this time, our puppy, Luna, had chewed through her lead and broken free from the bench. Jess then had to hold her by the collar, bending down, and walk through Newquay high street while Alex went into a shop to buy her a new lead! Jess was telling everyone we passed, that she’d just got engaged!!! HILARIOUS!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

Alex’s mum booked us a weekend away in the Cotswolds about 3 years ago. Alex was looking at things to do in the area and came across a wedding venue. We walked up to the venue and Jess was so delighted to see that this was her dream wedding venue.

When the proposal happened years later, they both decided Hyde House was the place.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

A relaxed and fun time.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

No theme.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

The table plan.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Don’t stress, enjoy the journey
