Our wedding film love story
How did you guys meet?
We’ve actually met on a dating app, OkCupid, and we had a great connection from the first moment.
Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?
We enjoy spending most of our time together, whether if it’s watching TV or movies, going to chef restaurants and unique cocktail bars, having walks and trips abroad.
We also love spending our time with our close friends, we like to host at our house for cocktail nights and high tea parties.
How did the proposal go down? (All the gushy details, I love this bit!)
It was magnificent and extravagant! Just kidding.
We sat together at home, talked about it and agreed that it’s time to get married.
Basically as boring as it gets.
How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?
At first we’ve considered to have a small ceremony with only family and close friends, but as time went along we decided that if we’re doing this – we might as well have a beautiful wedding in a venue with a classical feeling. One that we’ll be proud to be married in and enjoy the experience. We love the elegance and uniqueness of the Guildhall.
What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?
We want our guests to feel classical and special.
Venues like the Guildhall are rare (more like non-existent) in Israel, and so we want them to remember our wedding as a unique and memorable event.
In Israel most weddings are big with many guests, and we wanted ours to be intimate and only for close friends and family members that we want to be there with us in our special event.
Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?
We don’t have a theme per se, but one of the reasons we loved the Guildhall so much is because of its character.
The exterior of the building, the paintings, the history – it’s all very classical and traditional, two of our favorites aspects.
What was the hardest decision during the planning?
Picking the location (we considered New-York at first), dealing with the bureaucracy of a civil wedding abroad, choosing what to wear and how to dress our bridal party.
What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
Begin planning as earlier as possible.
Pretty much every detail will get complicated, so you want to have enough time to think, consult and decide carefully and with as little rush as possible.
Also, if you’re going to marry abroad, learn the bureaucratic details in depth, they are often very surprising and hard to follow.
