Our wedding film love story
How did you guys meet?
We met in Japan on a ski season in Niseko, 2015. We were both working as ski instructors.
Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?
We enjoy travelling, hiking and walking together. Chris is an artist, so he loves painting and Rebecca is a primary school teacher in London. Chris works for an art charity in London.
How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)
Chris proposed on NYE in Sydney at Balmoral Beach, which was his local beach growing up. He proposed at 5am, with the sunrise behind. All of Rebecca’s family arrived in Sydney on that day. They joined the NYE celebrations and watched the Sydney fireworks. Chris packed a bag with champagne and kept it a surprise, waking Rebecca up in her pyjamas unexpectedly!
How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?
We loved the look of The Crooked Billet, as Rebecca grew up in the area. The venue is kooky and arty which we felt suited our personalities.
What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?
A relaxed and happy day!
Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?
The marquee will be decorated in a rustic style, with white tablecloths and pops of colour given by the flowers. The food will be fresh and summery with lots of champagne and rosé!
