4th August 2018 Louise Archer & Simon Evans Rectory farm wedding video, Cambridgeshire videographer

Our Story

Our story starts in October 2012, after meeting at an Atkins graduate event in London. A few weeks later, at work drinks, Simon convinced Louise to come on Atkins’ first graduate ski trip, which was bold of Louise as she’d never skied before. During the trip, they got to know each other better, and although they were just friends at the time, a spark was there.

Fast forward to April 2013, and we had our first date at Circus Bar in Covent Garden, and our second date at the Duck and Waffle. From then on, we were inseparable, even during work we constantly chatted on the internal messenger, met for lunch, and socialised with our colleagues.

Over the following four years, we went on countless dates and exciting adventures. We bought houses, changed careers and lived in foreign countries.

On 31st March 2017, we were on holiday in Iceland and driving to the east of the country. As we were driving around the vast landscape, we came to ‘THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE ON EARTH’ as Louise described it, which was a black beach looking out onto unbroken water. As Louise ran out of the car to take pictures, Simon was taking out the ring from his bag as he had sowed it into the lining.  After setting up his go pro (secretly) in the sand, Simon got down on one knee and proposed. We were engaged. On our wedding day, we would’ve been together for over 5 years (1,926 days – not that ‘someone’ has been counting).
