14th December 2019 Izzie & Mark wedding video | Oxfordshire videographer

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

Met at school – Mark was at Bedford School (boys), Izzie was at Bedford High (girls). We were just friends for most of school – eventually Mark’s persistence paid off in London!

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Izzie works in Marketing at Lloyds Bank, Mark works in Sales for a start up called ROI Hunter. We spend most of our spare time with friends and family – partying, going on trips, holidays, out
for dinners. When being more sensible we spend lots of time at the gym or walking round Battersea Park.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Mark asked Izzie to meet in the park for a beer after work. This is quite normal practise so she thought nothing of it. When she arrived to where his Whatsapp location pin had sent her it was rather surprising that Mark was in a very secluded and beautiful rose garden in Regents Park with champagne and glass flutes. Izzie had already kicked her shoes off and got comfortable before realising this was slightly more than a post work beer! Mark had planned dinner and a hotel in London after 🙂

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

I think we ran out of steam looking at venues!!!!! This seemed to be the perfect level of chilled vibes, and wintery wonderland that we were after.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

Fun fun fun – lots of food, drinking and dancing. Nothing too sensible or formal

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

The theme is really just burgundy and gold. We’re not particular or creative! We will be doing lots of singing (with gospel singers in the ceremony, and the 12 days of Christmas for a laugh before best man speech – each table will be a different line of the song). There will be lots of fir cones / lanterns and wintery touches

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

We struggled to find a band – we found lots of the ones we liked were super expensive! Ended up finding the perfect one in Brother from Another though

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding ?
Don’t get stressed – you set the vibe for your guests!

7th December 2019 Mat & Emma wedding video | Oxfordshire videographer

Our love Story

How did you guys meet?

We met at Plymouth University. Mat played for Plymouth Blitz American Football team and Emma was a cheerleader for Plymouth Storm. Talk about American cliché! We were friends for a year before we started dating, we have been together over 8 years!

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Mat – I’m a business development manager for an IT company. I love sports, but especially college American football.
Emma – I’m an account manager for an employee benefits company, before that though I worked in Events, that’s how our paths crossed Mark. In my spare time I like to go to the gym, do yoga and spend time in our home. In our spare time we love to spoil our miniature schnauzer Lola, take her for long walks, spend time with family and host friends at our house. Mat loves to host!

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Let me set the scene, Mat’s mom lives in Colorado and in Fall 2018 we were visiting for a friend’s wedding. Fall is my favourite time of year in Colorado, the leaves are an orange/yellow colour and it looks like a postcard. We spent our last weekend in Aspen, Colorado, we’ve been before and absolutely love it. My mum was with us too, along with Mat’s mom, step dad and younger brother. Maroon Bells are a popular mountain range, they’ve got their name from the sun reflecting on the top of them and making them turn ‘maroon’ at sunrise. We got up early (3.30am!) to get to the lake at the bottom of the Bells for Sunrise. We were all together, watching the sun light up over the mountains, when our family soon stepped back and Mat was down on one knee – I had no idea (everyone else knew!). I burst into tears and it was perfect. I wish I could relive it again. Aspen now will have a special place in our hearts forever. For Christmas in 2018, Mat bought me the stars constellation that was over the bells that morning and this is now in our home.
How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

Mat used to be a chef, and Emma used to work at 2 Michelin Star Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons so it is hardly surprising to hear that we both love our food. We love trying out different restaurants, different food and Mat loves to cook/host (I think you get the idea he loves this!). So when we knew Primrose Hill Farm used a caterer that used local & organic produce as much as they could, this was a massive tick in our box. The barns themselves are beautiful, set in a working farm but fully modern inside, we were completely won over. It’s funny because Mat didn’t think he wanted to see the venue when I found it online, he wasn’t sure about the steel structure that are on the outside of the glass windows/doors – oh how wrong he was when he saw it in person.
What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

We want our guests to relax, enjoy spending time with us and each other (Mat has family & friends travelling from Brazil & America) so it will be the first time his UK friends get to meet them so that is pretty special. We also want our guests to enjoy their food, it really is that important to us. Of course the ceremony is the key bit, but it will be nice to have all our loved ones together for us to celebrate – he finally put a ring on (only took 8 years!)

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

We have tried to incorporate both of our roots. Emma is born and raised in the UK but having a degree in Event Management she had some pretty set ideas in her mind. Mat was born in Brazil, grew up in America and also has Italian heritage, so we have tried to incorporate this throughout our day. Once we have been announced as Mr & Mrs we are walking out to a Brazilian love song, our first dance is Italian (or at least part of it!) and we have 6 bridesmaids & 6 groomsman, I know that is quite American to have such a big Bridal Party!

11th October 2020 Jenny & Ryan wedding video | Oxfordshire videographer.

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

Jenny worked with Ryan’s brother at Virgin Media and met Ryan in Oxford on a night out.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Ryan is a bricklayer, Jenny an ICT manager – we enjoy each others company so just having quiet evenings at home, during the week one of us is usually busy with hobbies like football or Jenny’s at work late so weekends especially Sundays are our ‘us’ time.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Jenny had been dropping hints for around a year before the proposal but it was just at home on Saturday evening before we were planning on going out to dinner at Jenny’s mums.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

We knew we wanted a Church Wedding, it was just where – Horspath or Wheatley as Jenny has connections to both. Jenny’s parents and grandparents both married at Wheatley so that’s how we chose that. Ryan liked the Crazy Bear for a reception so after viewing it we knew it was right for us.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

I want them to just enjoy the day as much as we will. I want them to feel relaxed, drink plenty and have a good old boogie.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

The crazy bear didn’t need much ‘styling’ I think the venue covers that just by the decoration, we tried keeping everything quite simple. We went with just a colour scheme of Navy/Burgundy/Blush/Gold – Pinterest can be dangerous for designs and extras.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

I know it’ll be the biggest day of your lives, but include the people around you they are just as much as excited as you are and they do appreciate being involved. Also to go with your gut, don’t let others talk you out of anything if you want it have it otherwise you’ll just regret it.

28th September 2019 Jasmine & Eisuke wedding video | Buckinghamshire videographer

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

Jasmine is Malaysian and Eisuke is Japanese. The wedding will have themes from both our cultures.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Jasmine is an obstetrician and spends most of her time delivering babies. Eisuke works for a Japanese drinks company and is a massive Liverpool fan. We enjoy watching sports , cooking and eating good food and travelling.
How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Like all good proposals it did not go exactly according to plan. Jasmine forgot she was on call and came home late at 11pm. However, the answer was obviously yes.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

We wanted a family friendly venue with beautiful gardens and on site accommodation/ parking. We fell in love when we visited Stoke Place on a whim on a random Sunday. It is also in Buckinghamshire where Eisuke grew up, and not too far from London, where we both live.
What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

We wanted to include all our friends’ children so decided to have a child friendly wedding. We want everyone to have a good time in a relaxed setting and enjoy the amazing food at Stoke Place Hotel.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Cherry blossom elements from Japan form the centerpieces of the tables. There will be origami cranes both as decoration and in each napkin fold. The wedding cake has elements of Malaysian (pandan tier) and Japanese (Yuzu tier) with traditional Malaysian snacks during drinks.
What was the hardest decision during the planning?

Picking an invitation card, surprisingly! The final card has both cherry blossom elements, and gold foil embossing.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

We plan to play this video for our families abroad who cannot be with us on our wedding day in London.
This will also be screened in our Malaysian wedding in April 2020. We hope to incorporate views of British manor house and throwing of confetti (something not familiar to Malaysians!)

21st September 2019 Vicky & Joe wedding video | Oxfordshire videographer

Our Love Story

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

For Joe, the hardest part of the proposal was asking my dad (something I had made very clear needed to happen!) So he snuck off round to see my parents when I was busy working one weekend. He arrived with a big bunch of flowers for my mum ‘to thank her for all she does for us’ and then asked where my dad was. She told him he was having his haircut and would be back soon – which he was, with a smaller bunch of flowers for my mum (first son-in-law error – do not beat the size bunch of flowers!!). So, my dad, obviously slightly annoyed (and making it apparent calling Joe a ‘Twat’ in a playful manner) at the flower situation decides to ask Joe to help him move some garden furniture. Joe thinks, this is perfect he has him on his own and can ask the big question – apart from he bottled it!! The next thing he knows they are sat down having lunch (again much to my dad’s annoyance, he thought he had his wife to himself for the day!!) The conversation came up about what my dad should buy my mum for her upcoming birthday, in Joes head he was suggesting a fascinator, I’d like to marry your daughter, but no still nothing came out his mouth!! SO lunch was finished and cleared up, Joe had now stayed much longer than he expected, my dad had settled down into an afternoon of sport and my curious mum was beginning to wonder what on earth was going on, and so asked Joe ‘you alright?’ to which he said ‘can you both sit down I need to ask you something!!’ very abruptly! My mum shoved my dad and to stop watching the tv and listen to Joe (oh yes he had annoyed him again, as his beloved Man Utd were about to kick off!!) with no more said, Joe finally said ‘ I want to make the holiday in Crotia amazing, David I want to ask for your daughters hand in marriage’ To which his response was OH!!!! The longest 10 seconds later he stood up and said of course and gave him a hug – they chatted for about 5 minutes and finally Joe left!!!
He then completely took me by surprise on our first night in Croatia, Joe has never been able to hide surprises but this one he did. He snuck the ring through the airport in his hand luggage – which I had gone through that morning. We had arrived around 9pm, eaten a quick dinner and headed to the bar for a glass of wine. Joe was restless and wanted to head back to the room, I assumed he was tired from the journey so agreed (even though I didn’t’ want too!!) on the way past the bar Joe suggested getting a glass of champagne to take back to the room, this should have been my first point of suspicion. When we got to the room he asked me if I needed the toilet, I giggled and said I was okay to which he said okay I am going to go (I did think he was acting weird now!!) I went out to the balcony to listen to the sea and Joe then came out with a little envelope (a gift I had got him for his 30th Birthday a few months before, when one was completed you opened the next) seeing as we had completed the one before Joe suggested I opened the next. I did and then saw the words ‘Will you marry me??’ I looked up and there Joe was on one knee with the most sparkly ring I’d ever seen. I cried and continued to say ‘Oh my god, oh my god’ and like my dad, kept Joe in suspense before saying ‘YESSSS!!!’

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

We saw it on Facebook and both absolutely loved it as soon as we went there, we wanted a barn but this was modern and bright and just perfect

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?
We just want them to have the most fun, and dance all night and enjoy the food.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Well, we have a lot of jazz! We also have a bit of a wine theme going on, you will see the table plan will be on wine bottles and one featuring in the table decorations. We have also got some gorgeous flowers.

In the bar at RAF Cranwell!

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Sam is a civilian flying instructor who works for the military to help train military pilots who are completely new to flying – through their initial flying training course at RAF Cranwell. He has been a flying instructor for 11 years and has worked in the civilian industry previously, training commercial airline pilots.
Louisa is an RAF Officer and doctor – months away from qualifying as a GP – after 11 years of training! She met Sam from being on a course at the same unit as he worked and lived…the rest is history.
We have been together just over 3 years, and have very similar interests. We both enjoy flying, have a keen interest for classic cars, motorbikes, skiing, diving and cycling. We’ve holidayed skiing and walking/cycling. Louisa is a diving instructor and travels around the world teaching injured service personnel how to dive.

During a skiing holiday with our friends. Although not at the top of a mountain – in our room whilst getting ready for dinner – although very personal and lovely!!!

A fabulous time, laughing and enjoying themselves in a wonderful location with fizz and glamour.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Traditional- Downton Abbey – style wedding
Beautiful church for our ceremony followed by Country Mansion surroundings for the reception. Big and Bold, and certainly not understated!

Keeping the cost down!

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Expect the unexpected and don’t worry about the small stuff, remember what’s important about the occasion.

30th August 2019 Katy & Stew wedding video | Buckinghamshire videographer

Our Love Story

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

Stew is an IT Systems Engineer (Geek). His hobbies include xbox, martial arts, drumming and land rovers.
Katy is a podiatrist and her hobbies include cross stitch, other crafts and jewellery making, baking and gin. As a couple our favorite things are Mavis (our cat) and spending as much time in our camper van ‘Bongo Jerry’ as we can. We enjoy touring the UK and hope to head over to Europe next year.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

We had been on holiday touring in our Camper and I had seen some lovely rings in an Antique shop in York. Stew had purchased one and then when we returned home he suggested we go for a walk at Waddesdon Manor. We walked around the grounds and sat in the rose gardens for a while. He produce a box and asked if I would do the honour of becoming his wife. Obviously I said yes and we celebrated with a round of tea in the manor!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

We chose the Five Arrows as we have been there before and loved the place. We spend a lot of time at Waddesdon Manor and the fact we could have a small relaxed and fun wedding at the Five Arrows and have some photos taken at the manor meant we never really looked anywhere else. We knew it was the place before we even visited.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

Fun, relaxed and enjoyable. With Sylar (magician) to help entertain the guests and get everyone chatting and have provided garden games. We don’t want anyone to feel the need to be formal

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

Sunflowers and rustic. Katy and her friends have made lots of bunting to decorate. We want to bring happiness and sunshine into the room.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

The guest list. Its impossible to invite everyone and we found it very hard to stick to our numbers. It did make us realise how lucky we are to have so many amazing people in our lives.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Don’t worry about the small stuff. It will all come together and keep your wedding party (bridesmaids etc) small. Less arguments and more fun!

29th August 2019 Hannah & Mark wedding video | Oxfordshire videographer

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

We met through Plenty of Fish. We came away from our first date with our faces aching from smiling so much. We then saw each other every day for the next week and have been inseparable since.
Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do?

How do you spend your time?

We spend most of our time outside, either out on the family farm, walking the dog or playing with the horse. We also enjoy scrubbing up and going out for nice meals at new locations. We are also quite crafty and enjoy making things and happy to have a go at anything. All the wedding favour candles are handmade by us.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Mark planned a surprised trip to Verona. We went on beautiful tours of Verona, little to me knowing he was looking for the most romantic spot to propose. One evening we headed to the Castelvecchio Bridge after dinner as had been told it looks beautiful at night as is all lit up. We walked down towards the edge of the river with the bridge in the background. He had learnt how to say Will you marry me in Italian and popped the question. He has great taste and ring is perfect, couldn’t have chosen better myself.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

We always envisaged ourselves having a church wedding and with most of Mark’s relatives having gotten married or buried at the Charlton on Otmoor Church it was an honour to follow this tradition. Being so outdoorsy it only seemed right to have a Marquee reception in one of fields on the farm.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

We want our guest to have to memorable day to enjoy us getting married and being entertained by elements most people won’t have expected by us

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

We don’t really have a theme. But we have been described as classic with a modern twist and a rustic element.
What was the hardest decision during the planning?
Table planning very difficult with separated parents

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Make sure you are both involved with the planning, we have thoroughly enjoyed planning together and having each other support. Always such a shame when the groom doesn’t know what is happening on the day.

17th August 2019 Evlynn & Adam wedding video | Buckinghamshire videographer

Our Love Story

How did you guys meet?

We met in Bournemouth after being introduced by one of the Groomsmen.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?

We both love travel and food. We try to explore new cities as often as we can and take in as many nice restaurants and bars as we possibly can. We’re always with our family or friends at the weekends when we aren’t away.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)

Adam carried the ring all the way from Hatton Garden to Thailand and after a week of carrying the ring in his wallet and being nervous, he proposed at a beach front private dining in Phuket. Ev was annoyed because she had no idea and was wearing an £8 outfit!!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?

As soon as we drove up to the main house at Stoke Park, we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. The grounds are stunning and as you view the house as you approach it’s very impressive.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?

One they will remember. Through photos and videos… The food, music and entertainment are a big part of our day, so we want to ‘wow’ our guests and give them a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?

No theme as such, we’ve kept traditional/neutral as the venue itself is very grand and ornate. White/Green/Gold is the core colour theme. We’re trying to bring a modern twist in the evening with our lighting and band choice.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?

The menu! We loved all the food so choosing a few courses was tough!

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Do it for you. It’s your day.
